Home
I came home after five months. All while this time, a number
of things were wandering inside my head. Some worries, some expectations, a little
planning for the future, a little regret for the past. All in all, I was in a
state of total confusion. Nothing was making any sense to me. My status was quite
like this quote of William Leal: “It’s all messy. The bed. The hair. The words.
The heart. Life.” And, I knew this state of me could only be fixed after I go
to my home. So, firstly, I was excited to go home, then I became anxious about
it, then anguished, and finally totally desperate to be home. Slowly, actually very
slowly, this time passed, and I was at my home.
It was a long and a hectic journey but I was not feeling
tired. I was feeling sleepy but I could not sleep. I was all so joyous and
merry. And I realized, that all my worries and anxieties and regrets simply vanished.
There was no trace of them in my mind. It was an ambience of pure happiness all
around, and nothing at all could have deterred my spirit. And this time, my
status was like:"हर एक चीज़ है अपनी जगह ठिकाने से, कई दिनों से
शिकायत नहीं ज़माने से"
But how could it be that
simply visiting a place could help you out of all your miseries, and make you
happy beyond measures? But, once again, home is not just any place. It is where
you belong. It is this place you grew up to be who you are. Home has miraculous
healing powers – not just for body and mind – but also for soul. Wrapped in the
warmth of your mother’s arms and supporting your head on your father’s
shoulders, could literally kill all your miseries and give you enough power to
conquer all the challenges. And this is why, home keeps you happy, because it
is filled with their love for you. Every time you visit your home it will be a
little more special to you than the last time, because visiting a place again
is not the same as never leaving.
Home is a good place to
be at.
Welcome, my son
