A World Of Their Own

Three months earlier, I wrote a blog about the young couples and the youth’s perception of love where I mentioned about the absurd things they do to get love and even absurd things they do once they are in love. Well, I don’t know if that’s love or not and I am sure neither do they, but that’s what they call it. And today, here I am, contradicting some of my earlier views about them.

Today, I observed a brighter aspect of this whole phenomenon, which is much deserving to be appreciated. It is the absolute carefree attitude of the young couples. The moments when they are together with each other, they do not belong to this world of ours; they live in a world of their own. It’s like the idea Paulo Coelho mentions in his book, ‘The Winner Stands Alone’ that every person is a complete whole world within himself. They literally do not pay any attention to the people around them, what others say about them or who’s watching them; nothing seems to bother them. And that is because they do not see or feel anyone around. During those private and intimate moments of being with their partners, they are completely absorbed in themselves and their world. It’s quite like this line from a Bollywood song, “…किसी के इतने पास हो की सबसे दूर हो गए” They are somehow able to achieve seclusion in the busiest hours and in the busiest places. And at last, even if their love fails, they have managed to steal and live some moments of their life to the fullest.

Isn’t that what matters the most? Living life to the fullest. Living some carefree moments without thinking about the consequences. Doing what the heart wants without caring about to maintain a social image. Isn’t this what the philosophers and the life gurus have been teaching for the centuries? Isn’t this what a common mortal like you and me has tried to achieve all his life and has failed every single time? But whenever he has done it, history was created.

And these ‘sweet’ youthful people bound in love, no matter how much you despise them, have done it now and again. They have achieved what every heart desires, more than once. Cheers to that!
